In our Podcast we had the honor of receiving Donato Avenia, historical basketball player of our basketball, in the role of President of Colleferro Basketball.
We retraced the beginnings of this experience together, a beginning that dates back to 2008.
The President at the time had clear ideas about what should have been Pallacanestro Colleferro.
A club for young people, which would guarantee a quality youth sector where they can grow in the most professional way possible.
It is no coincidence that one of the priorities, if not the president's priority, was to have an adequate structure that allowed the boys to train consistently and effectively, without any kind of limitations.
To make us understand the importance of the Youth Sector, Donato pointed out how, with a group of 15-16 boys, they played various youth championships and also the season in C Silver, testifying to the work that is being done to improve the quality of the boys.
As a great connoisseur of the basketball world, Donato told us how difficult it can be to do quality work with a youth sector when you are a "small" reality, but he also knows how important it can be and how many benefits it can bring, for this is a sector crucial in his society.
Basketball Colleferro is therefore a beautiful reality, which is trying to establish itself as one of the best companies in which to grow humanly and basketball.
